Q-Park values your rights and outlines in this section which rights you have regarding to data protection.

You have the following rights: right to access your information from Q-Park or get a confirmation as to whether or not personal information is being processed. In the case, the information is inaccurate you may also contact Q-Park to get your information corrected. You have the right to request that Q-Park erase data that is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed. You may also request that Q-Park restrict the usage of your personal data. You have the right to object to a processing if your information is processed for direct marketing purposes. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Agency if you have concerns about how Q-Park processes your personal data.

Collection and processing of your personal information

Q-Park collects and processes personal information to operate effectively and to give you the best experiences with our products. Personal information may be provided directly by you.

You may provide additional information when you create an online account, make purchases, agree to a contract, when you contact Q-Park for support or make an appeal regarding an issued control fee. We may also collect and process personal information when issuing a control fee or using video monitoring to maintain the security and safety of individuals and our parking facility. Personal information we process can consist of:

  • Contact details (full name, address, postcode, country, city, telephone number, e-mail address and title)
  • Bank account information
  • Credit card details
  • Signature
  • Vehicle registration number
  • Location details
  • Photos of  the vehicle
  •  Video recordings (In general, 7 days. If requested by authorities video is stored for up to 30 days)

We may share your personal information to vendors working on our behalf or third parties, for example the Police, tax authorities or other authorities when required by law or in case of a legal process or obligation. We may also obtain information from tax authorities to process a control fee or other obligations.   

We value your personal information and will delete all data as soon as the information stops being relevant. Q-Park can be bound by national law to keep your information for a specific period of time. Please contact our privacy e-mail address for further information. 

Q-Park operates cameras in and around its parking facilities and offices to:

  • prevent theft and vandalism
  • provide assistance on customer request
  • support the operational process

Q-Park does not record sound and does not use cameras with sound detection, facial recognition or behavioural analysis.

Use of Q-Parks website

Q-Parks website uses Google Analytics to collect data on the devices accessing the website, browser type, operation system, history of the pages you view and other statistical information. We use this information to help us design our site to better suit our customers’ needs. You may use Q-Parks links on our website to provide you with easy access to sending us an email with questions, requests about information and material, registration, reservations/purchases or competitions or to sending us comments and suggestions. You may also be offered the opportunity of being contacted in person by one of our representatives, so that you can obtain further information about our products or services. If you wish to make use of this offer, we may ask you to provide information about e.g. name and phone number in order for us to contact you. Q-Park also uses cookies to enhance the functionality of the site.

Statistic Surveys

We can ask for information from customers in relation to performing statistic surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary. Information from these surveys is used for statistical purposes or for improvement of and satisfaction with our website and we also use it for improving our customer service and our supply of products.
